Back to Back Birthdays

As God would have it, little Olivia’s entry into this world is one day before her father’s. Cooking is just something that gives me no joy at the moment and going out gets you around people, but without having to share anything if you don’t want to. And I find it healthy if you can recognize the moments of kindness and genuine care. Those moments can help you to take that next breath and move you to the next moment. We had a very good experience at Rise n Dine on North Decatur, down from Emory. They make their guests feel very welcome. Our waitress was so helpful with finding us gluten-free options, which were abundant. The food is fresh and delicious, especially the grits. She was also great because we wanted to get a little dessert on his birthday, but they didn’t have a gluten-free option, so she gave him one.
