Means waiting. I usually get caught up in all the hussle and bussle of the season we’re getting ready for, thinking that means that I am observing a good Advent. FAIL!
This season I’m trying to get in touch with the aspect of waiting, being patient. Waiting is harder when you don’t know when something is coming. So I’m trying to take advantage of the things that I’m looking forward to that require me to be patient and wait…like for Brian to come home from rehearsal tonight.
I heard his ring tone and my heart sped up and I filled with joy at the sound of his voice. I’m also trying to wait for the Christ Child, to be in aware and wonder when I meet the Lord during the day. My heart can do the same sort of thing and I get feeling all warm and wonderful knowing that I recognized Him in my day.
Maybe this week I’ll add trying to wait with patience for the things that I’m not looking forward to…wait maybe I should let that one wait…for Lent 🙂 Ha!
